… is to know, love and glorify God and be used by Him to help all people to know Jesus Christ and become fully devoted followers of Him.

OUR OUTREACH…

… is to those who have no church home. Many in our area are disillusioned with religion. They have felt the sting of legalism with its impossible demands. Some have seen hypocrisy. Others have had no religious background and therefore see Christianity as irrelevant. The missing element has been healthy relationships with mature believers in Jesus.

OUR HISTORY…

In August of 2007, seven adults and five children moved to Riverside and settled in the Mission Grove / Orangecrest area to lay the groundwork needed to launch Orangecrest Community Church (OCC). Sunday services began in Pastor Josh’s house and the word began to spread about OCC within the community. Monthly preview services began in order to give the young church a place to invite their friends. On February 10th, 2008 we had our Grand Opening Celebration and we launched our weekly services at Amelia Earhart Middle School. Within that first month, God allowed us to launch 5 small groups that met weekly in people’s homes for the purpose of encouraging each other to take the next steps in their relationship with Christ. In September 2008, OCC moved the Sunday Worship service to the brand new Orange Terrace Community Center, where we continue to meet weekly for worship on Sundays at 10 am.

OCC uses rented facilities so that we can invest more money in staff for training people. We have designed church life to grow in this environment until the Lord makes it clear it is prudent to purchase property.
